SCIENCE COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
Geology: Studies the physical structure and function of the planet Earth and other objects in the universe.
Biology: Covers the functions of the cell and genetics. Some work is done in ecology, evolution, and human physiology.
Physics: Covers the energy and forces of matter. Electricity, waves, and heat are part of those concepts.
AP Environmental Science: Explains how organisms are linked together and how pollutants could affect that link. Students will be prepared to challenge the AP exam.
AP Biology: Same topics as Biology, but more rigorous course. Students will be prepared to challenge the AP exam.
AP Chemistry: Course covers the composition and interactions of matter at the atomic and molecular level. Students will be prepared to cover the AP exam.
AP Physics 1: Course covers mechanics - the energy and forces of matter. Students will complete the additional math and concepts to be prepared to challenge the AP exam.
AP Physics 2: Course covers electricity and magnetism. Students will complete additional math and concepts to be prepared to challenge the AP exam.
